A 17-year-old male remained in grave condition this morning after he was shot in the head outside his East Baltimore home yesterday, police said.

The youth was walking outside his home in the 800 block of North Kenwood Avenue at about 5:30 p.m. yesterday when the gunman emerged from a white or gray vehicle and fired, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman. The victim, whom Moses did not identify, was transported to Johns Hopkins Hospital. The shooter fled.

Moses said police have no suspect or motive for the shooting.

The youth was the fifth victim of gunplay in East Baltimore yesterday. Police have not released the identities of the two men found dead at about 5 a.m. at the Forrest Street Apartments in the 1100 block of Orleans Street near Old Town Mall.

Two other men were treated for non-life-threatening injuries after a shooting at about 1 p.m. near the intersection of East Biddle Street and North Luzerne Avenue.
