Frederick County man slain in Baltimore

Baltimore police say a Frederick County man who was found shot yesterday afternoon in his car near New Cathedral Cemetery in Edmondson Village died later at an area hospital.

The victim's name was being withheld pending notification of relatives, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman.

Shortly after 3 p.m., Southwestern District officers responding to a report of a man shot in the 700 block of Wildwood Parkway found the victim slumped behind the steering wheel of his car, bleeding from at least one bullet wound to the side of the head, Moses said.

Moses said the man was taken by a Fire Department ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died an hour later.

Metro Crime Stoppers at 410-276-8888 is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and an indictment.
