A boy shot Aug. 7 outside his mother's home in the 2900 block of Garrison Blvd. has died, a city police spokesman said.

John Person, 17, who lived with his mother, was standing in a parking lot outside their apartment building about 12:15 a.m. when a gunman shot him in the back, said Agent Donny Moses, the spokesman.

Moses said Person managed to crawl into the building, where he was found a short time later by police and Fire Department medics. He was taken by ambulance to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he remained in critical condition before dying about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

In apparently unrelated cases, police yesterday named the victims of three other killings.

On Aug. 8, Rudy M. Guzman, 22, of the 400 block of N. Highland Ave. was standing outside a convenience store in the 3300 block of E. Fayette St. about 2:25 a.m. when someone shot him in the chest. The native of Guatemala died several hours later at

Johns Hopkins Hospital. No arrest had been made.

The same day, Shawn Weaver, 37, of the 2800 block of Spellman Road in Cherry Hill was involved in an altercation with another man in the 2600 block of Giles Road about 2 a.m. when he was shot. Police said Weaver fled to the 1000 block of Shellbanks Road, where the killer caught up to him and shot him several more times before fleeing. Weaver died less than an hour later at Shock Trauma.

Police said that about 11:40 a.m. July 18, officers responding to a report of a man shot in the 5000 block of Pembridge Ave. in

Pimlico found Kervin McKnight, 45, of Edgewood in Harford County lying on the ground near a vacant house. Police said McKnight was shot multiple times in the upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene.
