A 44-year-old man died from gunshot injuries after Baltimore police officers found him last night wounded and lying on a West Baltimore street.

Officer Troy Harris, a police spokesman, identified the victim as Bernard R. Wallace, who lived in the 2900 block of Belmont Ave. About 11:30 p.m., officers were called to the 1300 block of Bloomingdale Road to check on reports of gunfire. Police found Wallace lying in the street and suffering from multiple shots to his head and body, Harris said.
