Fire at Baltimore elementary school causes $100,000 worth of damages

A fire Saturday night at Hazelwood Elementary/Middle School caused more than $100,000 in damages to three portable units, Baltimore City fire officials say.

The fire broke out at about 10 p.m., and though heavy smoke was reported it was quickly brought under control. Fire officials said the blaze did not reach the main school building on Hazelwood Avenue. The cause is under investigation. There were no injuries.
