BOWIE, MD. — Maryland-National Capital Park Police say a 22-year-old man was seriously injured when he was shot on the grounds of a Bowie community center.
Police say Bowie and park police officers responded to report of the sound of shots fired at the Huntington Community Center on Tuesday evening and later found a man suffering from gunshot wounds at Doctors Community Hospital in Lanham. Police say the man was taken to the emergency room by unknown people who left before officers arrived.
Police say the man remains in serious condition.
Authorities are asking anyone with information about the incident to call police.
