This free festival, which takes place on Mount Royal Avenue and North Charles Street, is one of America's largest celebration of the arts. Expect tons of arts and crafts, dozens of live music performances and several other performing and visual arts events. 2011 headliners include Fantasia, G Love and Matisyahu.

A steady stream of street performers -- everything from speed painters and magicians to jugglers and an urban circus -- will be wowing crowds from the steps of MICA's main building.
New this year, Pearlstone Park, near Cathedral and Preston streets, gets turned into an outdoor sculpture garden and fantasy environment. Highlights include an exhibition of miniature playhouses called Wonderland Estates, a Mini Prix for kids to race pedal-powered cars and a giant picnic table. Organizers say this might be the best picnicking spot at Artscape.
JOSEPH MEYERHOFF SYMPHONY HALL
The Meyerhoff will play host to a free concert by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at 2 p.m. Saturday, featuring the music of Mozart, Vaughan Williams and Haydn. On Sunday, the acrobatic freneticism of the Brian Sanders' Junk acrobatic dance troupe will present shows at noon, 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tickets required.
HIGH ZERO WORLDS IN COLLUSION
High Zero Foundation presents three days of mind-bending performances by Baltimore artists, including the traditional, the experimental and the just-plain-strange, with a new performance every hour from 2 p.m.-9 p.m. Friday, noon-8 p.m. Saturday and noon-7 p.m. Sunday. Tickets required.
Music, art, fashion and installations transport visitors to the Charles Street Bridge back in time 30 years. Get a makeover, learn breakdancing and try your hand at some '80s power ballads through the magic of karaoke.
ART CARS AND ART CARS LOUNGE
The Art Car Lounge features seating made from recycled car parts. A parade of gloriously decorated (and undeniably funky) art cars begins its procession into Artscape at noon Saturday, beginning at of North and Mount Royal avenues and winding its way through to Station North.
Held along Mount Royal Avenue from North Avenue toSt. Paul Street. Additional attractions alongCharles Street. The festival is held outdoors in tents and inside the neighborhood's premier exhibition spaces and performing arts venues.
Temporary bathrooms and hand sanitizing stations are located throughout the festival grounds. Accessible bathrooms are available at each location.
Festival-goers may reserve tickets in advance on Artscape.org, or pick them up at Guests Services inside the Patricia and Arthur Model Performing Arts Center at the Lyric Opera House.
Basic first aid services will be available at Guest Services (located Inside the Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric). Guest Services staff will also have radio contact to on-site medics. Medical emergencies should be directed to 911.
