A 16-year-old girl reported she was raped last weekend at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house in Charles Village, according to Baltimore police. Johns Hopkins University officials have ordered the fraternity to cease operations.
Baltimore is seeking four new contractors to help with a massive overhaul of the city's more than 4000,000 water meters, reported the city Department of Public Works.

Larry Hogan, only the second Republican to be elected governor since the 1960s, scored a stunning upset Tuesday over Anthony G. Brown. "Wow! What a historic night in Maryland!" an ebullient Hogan told supporters early Wednesday morning at his campaign headquarters in Annapolis.
In Howard County, Republican Allan H. Kittleman beat Democrat Courtney Watson for county executive. Kittleman will be the second Republican executive in the county's history and the first since the 1990s.
