Brittany Maynard, the advocate for assisted suicide "passed peacefully" Sunday in her Portland home. The 29 year old had been battling terminal brain cancer and recently moved to Oregon in order to legally undergo a physician-assisted suicide. Oregon is one of four states that permits assisted suicide.

The Pittsburgh Steelers knocked off the Baltimore Ravens, 43 to 23.

A spectacular three-alarm fire that sent heavy black smoke over Baltimore yesterday afternoon erupted in a warehouse at Aisquith Street and Curtain Avenue. Heavy winds carrying embers started six more blazes across East Baltimore, reported the fire department. There were no injuries.

A 46-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman were shot, one fatally, in separate incidents early Sunday, reported Baltimore Police.
