St. James Parish will hold its annual crab cake and country ham spring dinner from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at 5757 Solomons Island Road in Lothian. The menu includes homemade crab cakes, country and honey-baked ham, potatoes au gratin, homemade cole slaw, rolls and biscuits, beverages and homemade pies. The event also includes baked goods, garden items, homemade ice cream, antique cars, guided tours of the church and children's activities. Strawberry festival

Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer will host its annual Strawberry Festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie. Fresh strawberries over vanilla ice cream and cake will be featured. Lunch will also be available for purchase. There will be baked goods, a rummage sale and flea market. St. Stephen's Episcopal Church holds a Spring Fling fundraiser from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 17, at 1110 St. Stephen's Church Road in Crownsville. The event includes dinner, children's activities, a bake sale and a Spring Garden Wagon Raffle. Information:

Day trip

Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church sponsors a bus trip to Pennsylvania on Friday, May 30, for the Sight and Sound Theatre's production of "Moses." Buses leave the church at 8325 Ventnor Road in Pasadena at 9:30 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m. Cost includes admission, transportation, lunch, beverage and a snack.
