Workshop The Field Crops & Pasture IPM Workshop will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Anne Arundel County Extension Office, 97 Dairy Lane in Gambrills. Workshop will explore advanced concepts of pasture and field crop production in the Southern Maryland region from establishment to harvest, including animal utilization. Topics include crop selection, integrated crop management, soil fertility, weed control, insect control, and disease control for soybeans, corn, wheat, barley and hay crops. Looking for work? A job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Club Meade, 6600 Mapes Road, Fort Meade, with more than 65 employers recruiting for a variety of positions. All attendees who do not have Department of Defense ID must enter the main gate on Reece Road. Oyster roast The fourth annual Annapolis Oyster Roast and Sock Burning, featuring music by the Eastport Oyster Boys and the Dan Haas Band, will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Annapolis Maritime Museum, 723 Second St. The event includes an oyster-shucking contest and skipjack rides at 12:15 p.m. and 2 p.m. Beer, wine, food and other beverages will be available for purchase. Flower mart The Four Rivers Garden Club will hold its annual Flower Mart from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. April 30 at the Market House in downtown Annapolis. An assortment of native plants and perennials from members' gardens as well as cut flowers and attic treasures will be offered for sale.
