A man robbed a young woman at a Glen Burnie gas station Thursday night then pointed "his index finger at" her husband "as if it were a handgun," Anne Arundel County police said.
The Glen Burnie couple, in their early 20s, were pumping gas at the station in the 6600 block of Ritchie Highway just before 9 p.m. when a middle-aged man with "decaying teeth" and a neck tattoo approached the woman in the passenger seat of the car and demanded her purse, which she handed over. The suspect walked away and when the husband confronted him, the suspect pointed his finger like a gun at the husband and demanded money from him, too, police said.
The victim showed the suspect his empty wallet and the suspect ran away with the purse. Police were unable to track him down.
Anne Arundel County police also said two businesses in Annapolis and Edgewater were robbed at gunpoint Thursday.
A man armed with a gun robbed an Exxon Gas Station at 109 Mitchell's Chance Road in Edgewater at around 9:35 p.m., making off with an unknown amount of cash. Two men armed with a gun also robbed a Dollar Tree at 81 Forest Plaza in Annapolis just before 11 p.m. and took an unknown amount of cash.
Anyone with information is asked to call the county police Robbery Unit at 410-222-3566.
