Annapolis Center

'War Horse' The center's trip committee is accepting reservations to see the play Feb. 8 at the Hippodrome Theatre in Baltimore. The ticket price of $147 includes transportation and lunch at George's in the Wyndham Peabody Court Hotel on Mount Vernon Place. The play tells the story of a horse that is sold to the cavalry and shipped from England to France during World War I.
European river cruise The center's trip committee is accepting reservations for a cruise next summer on the Danube. The Aug. 2-13 trip includes visits to Prague, Budapest and Vienna. Holiday concert The Anne Arundel County Retired Teachers' Chorus performs at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
Organizing Digital Photos Photographer Don Dement will instruct a class from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, Dec. 12 and 19. Learn to store photo files, use the computer for searching and easy retrieval, how to use photos for slide shows, prints and email, and how to ensure against accidental loss. Space is limited.
Beginning tap dance An introduction to tap will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesdays. No experience is needed; the instructor is Vicki Smith. Fee is $40.

Support groups
The Department of Aging and Disabilities has updated a booklet on community support groups. The booklet focuses on groups for caregivers, Alzheimer's disease, bereavement for adults and children, diabetes, brain injury, cancer, stroke, cardiac and pulmonary problems, Parkinson's disease and bowel and urinary diversions. Residents' rights
Brochures on residents' rights in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities and a brochure on the ombudsman program protecting those residents are available from the Department of Aging and Disabilities.
