Lighthouse tours

Tours of the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse will be held at 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Saturdays, Aug. 17 and 24 and Sept. 14 and 28. Visitors can learn about how lighthouse keepers lived, other lighthouses on the Chesapeake Bay and how many are still around. Tickets are $70 per person. Reservations required. Theater production

Quiet Waters concerts

The Quiet Waters Park summer concert series, featuring a variety of musical styles, takes place at 6 p.m. Saturdays at 600 Quiet Waters Park Road in Annapolis. Daddy/Daughter Night

The Bowie Baysox will hold Daddy/Daughter Date Night Friday, Aug. 16 as the team takes on the Richmond Flying Squirrels beginning at 6:05 p.m. at Prince George's Stadium. Event features a special ticket for dads and daughters and an opportunity to run the bases together after the game. Tickets are $22 and include two box seat tickets, a voucher good for two free hot dogs and a special photo opportunity. Additional daughter tickets are $11 each. Dance open house

The Chesapeake Arts Center hosts a dance open house from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 21 at 194 Hammonds Lane in Brooklyn Park. Visitors can sample classes, meet the instructors and tour the facility. Concert

'Into the Woods'

The Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre presents James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim's fractured fairy tale at 8:30 p.m. Thursdays-Sundays through Sept. 1 at the City Dock in downtown Annapolis. The story centers around a baker and his wife who learn they've been cursed with childlessness by the witch who lives next door. Tickets are $20. Charity golf tourney

The Arundel Federal Savings Bank's 8th annual Charity Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 29 at the Golf Club at South River and begins with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Event raises money for Anne Arundel Community College, benefiting students and programs. Cost is $150 for individuals and $600 for a foursome. Sponsorship opportunities are available from $125 to $1,600. Family camp

The Camp Letts Family Camp will be held Aug. 30-Sept. 2 at 4003 Camp Letts Road in Edgewater. Event is a weekend that includes paddling along the shores of the Rhode River in canoes and kayaks, sailing or just relaxing. Rates include lodging, meals and most activities. Auditions

•The Annapolis Youth Chorus will hold auditions for the 2013-2014 concert season from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. Aug. 28 at St. Anne's Church Parish House, 199 Duke of Gloucester St. in Annapolis. •The Colonial Players will hold auditions for all roles in the musical "Annie" at 2132 Renard Ct. in Annapolis. The show will run Nov. 8-Dec. 7 at the theater in Annapolis. Auditions for pre-teen and early teen girls for the roles of Annie and the orphans will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday-Sunday, Aug. 17-18. Auditions for adult roles will be held at 1 p.m. Aug. 25 and 7 p.m. Aug. 26 with possible callbacks on Aug. 28. •Anne Arundel Community College's theater department will hold auditions at 7 p.m. Sept. 23-24 for its fall production of "The Adventures of Tom Sawyer" in the Robert E.
