Authorities are investigating the death of a spouse of a service member at Fort Meade.
The woman was found dead Thursday afternoon in her home on the Army base in Anne Arundel County, according to a spokesman. Officials said they do not suspect foul play. The woman's name is being withheld for 24 hours to allow time to notify kin.
Fort Meade emergency responders were called to the residence at about 2:15 p.m., base spokesman Chad Jones said. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:33 p.m.
The Army Criminal Investigation Command, or CID, is leading the investigation.
