Anne Arundel County Police say a Glen Burnie man was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on Route 10 in Glen Burnie.

Chris Donald Pfeil, 33, of the unit block of Kempton Road in Glen Burnie, died as a result of the accident, which occurred at the 7 a.m., police said.

Officers were called to Route 10 south at the Dover Road overpass, and found a 2003 Dodge pickup truck on its side against the bridge pillar, with the driver trapped inside. He was pronounced dead at the scene by county paramedics, police said.

Investigators believe the truck was traveling northbound on Route 10 when it crossed the grass median and all the southbound lanes for unknown reasons. The vehicle then struck a tree, turned on its side and hit the bridge pillar.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
