A 17-year-old girl suffered life-threatening injuries in a dirt-bike accident, and two people were injured in a motor vehicle collision Saturday in Anne Arundel County, fire officials said.
Shortly before midnight, fire units were dispatched for a dirt bike accident in the 1100 block of Chambers River Road in Crownsville. There they found a 17-year-old girl suffering life-threatening injuries, said Chief Michael Cox, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County fire department. She was taken to Maryland Maryland Shock Trauma Center, and officials had no word on her condition.
A collision that occurred around 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ritchie Highway and Arnold Road in Arnold sent two people to the hospital, Cox said. A 45-year-old woman suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Shock Trauma, Cox said. The second individual, whose gender and age were unknown, suffered minor injuries and was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center.
