Man dies after apparent fall from moving car in Lothian

A Temple Hills man has died after apparently falling from a car being driven down a Lothian road and that did not stop, Anne Arundel County police said Wednesday.

David Joseph Tretick, 23, of the 6700 block of Berkshire Drive, died Tuesday, probably of injuries from the fall, at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.

A motorist who called police told them that around 6 p.m. Monday, a rear door of the southbound vehicle in front of his in the 200 block of Mt. Zion Marlboro Road opened and a person tumbled out and onto the road.

Police are searching for that car, which may be a red or maroon late-model foreign sedan with a boxy shape, possibly a Nissan Sentra. Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 410-222-3450 or 410-222-8610.
