A 77-year-old Pasadena resident was struck and killed by a truck with a plow early Thursday as he walked on Mountain Road near Edwin Raynor Boulevard, Anne Arundel County police said.
The vehicle's driver left the scene of the accident, which remains under investigation and was reported about 2:30 a.m., according to police.
The victim was identified as Richard Francis Oles, a resident of the 100 block of Circle Road.
Police spokesman Justin Mulcahy said Oles was walking eastbound along Mountain Road when he was struck by a red Ford truck that had a snowplow attached. Oles was walking in the roadway because of weather conditions.
He was taken to Baltimore-Washington Medical Center, where he died at 3:30 a.m.
