Man charged after police found more than $4,000 worth of marijuana in vehicle

A Baltimore man was arrested and charged Thursday in Pasadena after a police officer found him asleep inside his vehicle with about $4,500 worth of marijuana, Anne Arundel County police said.

At about 12:45 a.m., an officer found William Davis, 25, of the 1200 block of Oakland Terrace slumped over in the driver's seat, parked in the area of Winged Foot Drive and Devere Drive with his vehicle's headlights on, police said.

The officer walked over to the vehicle and attempted to wake Williams when he noticed marijuana buds on the dashboard, police said. When Williams awoke, he fled the vehicle.

Police caught Williams and searched the vehicle, where about 450.5 additional grams of marijuana was found inside, according to the report.

Williams was charged with possession and possession with intent to distribute.
