AACC student activities fair

Round table discussion

Scholarships
The Anne Arundel County branch of the American Association of University Women will offer three one-year financial awards of $2,000 each for the 2011-2012 academic year. Eligible candidates are women who have attended AACC and are planning to attend or continuing to attend a four-year college or university. Scholarships are intended to ease the financial burden of the undergraduate transferring student who has attained junior or higher academic standing. Other criteria require eligible applicants to be county residents, have a GPA of 3.25 or higher, and show evidence of financial need and a commitment to community service through volunteer or employment activities. Internship participation
AACC invites employers to participate in the college's internship program. Students from a broad range of disciplines would like to be a part of an internship to receive real-world experience and mentoring from leaders in business, industry, government and nonprofit agencies and organizations. AACC video game tournament
A video game tournament sponsored by the AACC Student Association Campus Activities Board will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26 and Thursday, Jan. 27 in the Student Dining Hall, 101 College Parkway, Arnold. Free. Information: 410-777-2043.
Nursing scholarships at AACC
Through 2014, three Anne Arundel Community College nursing students will receive $3,000 scholarships through a program set up by Johns Hopkins HealthCare. The scholarships will benefit county residents enrolled in the college's registered nursing associate of science degree program who demonstrate financial need as established by the AACC financial aid office.
