'Shaping History Through Service: The Walter S. Mills Story'
Exhibition explores Walter Mills' pursuit of education and fight for the rights of others from his childhood and his career teaching and serving as principal at Parole Elementary School. The exhibit tells about the lawsuit that changed the way teachers, black and white, were paid. The exhibit opens Sunday, Oct. 31, with a reception from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., and will be displayed through April 2 at the Banneker-Douglass Museum, 84 Franklin St., Annapolis. Anne Arundel County's fundraiser " Disco Magic" will be held from 6:30 p.m. to midnight at the Hilton BWI Airport Hotel. Guests are asked to wear their best disco attire for this retro event.
