An 80-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries in a Millersville car accident that sent her and four others people to the hospital.

The woman, whose identity was not released, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The accident occurred at about 12:41 p.m., said Lt. Cliff Kooser, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

The other victims were taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center. The accident occurred on Veterans Highway near Benfield Road.
