Man robbed of money, phone on B&A Trail

A 21-year-old man told Anne Arundel County police that he was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday by four men, two on bicycles, as he walked on the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail.

Police said the assailants, one with a handgun, approached the man, who was punched as he tried to ward off the attack, which occurred around 1:15 a.m. The assailants took money and a cell phone before they headed north on the trail toward Aquahart Road in Glen Burnie, police said.

Officers said they arrested Linnord David Jones Jr. 20, of the 2600 block of Gate House Drive, who they said had the victim's cell phone and money.

He is facing five charges, including armed robbery, according to court records. The other assailants were described as wearing dark-colored hooded sweatshirts. Two had ski masks.
