Officials investigate possible propane leak at BWI

Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport officials were investigating a possible propane leak in the general aviation facility Tuesday night, a spokesman said, but the investigation did not affect commercial traffic.

The BWI Fire and Rescue Department began investigating an odor shortly before 11 p.m. in the facility, which is used for small, private planes, said Jonathan Dean, a BWI spokesman. He said the area was not evacuated and that no flights were affected by the possible leak.

He said he did not expect the investigation to affect air travel Wednesday.
