Cars and music Live music and a custom car show highlight the evening during the grand opening of the Route 177 Auto Center, 124 Mountain Road in Pasadena. Ecology by canoe From 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 22, participants can discover the abundance of wildlife in the Patuxent River wetlands by paddling along some of the smaller branches of the river to look for beavers, birds and flowering wetland plants at Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary. Bring water, sunscreen and lunch, and wear shoes that can get wet. Children must be at least 7 years old and accompanied by an adult. Reservations and entrance fees are required for all events. Annapalooza Outdoor music and arts festival will feature 10 hours of live music, including jazz, reggae, blues, rock, hip-hop and bluegrass, on three stages. Lineup includes Soja, The Bridge, Pietasters, Bill Kirchen, Mambo Sauce, Grilled Lincolns, The Cheaters and Blue Miracle. There will also be artists, crafters, food and beverages.
