Anne Arundel police searching for homicide suspect

Anne Arundel County police are still searching for a second man wanted in connection with the murder of a Brooklyn Park man last month.

Police charged Rodney Ralph Barnwell, 22, and Ricky Lamont Mason, 21, who has already been detained, in the shooting death of Adam Ray Bucklew. The 21-year-old victim was found shot July 1 in a car in front of his home in the 400 block of Audrey Avenue in Brooklyn Park. Police said the apparent motive was robbery.

Witnesses reported two men fleeing from the area, and through the investigation, homicide detectives identified Barnwell and Mason. Both have been charged with murder and other related offenses, police said.

Mason was convicted in Baltimore of a 2006 burglary and property destruction, and had been jailed last year for violating probation following a drug conviction in the city, according to court records.

Police are searching for Barnwell, who considered armed and dangerous, and is known to frequent the Curtis Bay area.

Anyone with information on Barnwell's whereabouts is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 410-222-3456, Detective Norval Cooper at 410-222-3453 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7LOCKUP.
