Solar panel installation course

The Baltimore Building Congress and Exchange Foundation has donated $4,500 to Anne Arundel Community College Foundation Inc. to fund scholarships for those enrolled in the college's new solar panel installation class. Information: 410-777-2056.

Surgical technology program

Anne Arundel Community College is seeking applications for a new surgical technology degree program beginning in August. First consideration will be given to residents of Anne Arundel County. Nursing scholarships

Beginning this fall and continuing through 2014, three Anne Arundel Community College nursing students will receive a $3,000 scholarship through a program set up by Johns Hopkins HealthCare. The scholarship will benefit students who demonstrate financial need as established by the AACC Financial Aid Office, are Anne Arundel County residents and enrolled in the college's registered nursing associate of science degree program.
