'Baltimore's Most Photogenic Baby'
Arundel Mills hosts this event from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 24, to Saturday, June 26, and noon to 5 p.m. June 27 at the mall's food court, 7000 Arundel Mills Circle, Hanover.
Infants through 5-year-olds can compete in four categories: precious, comical, beautiful and fashionable. Photographs will be on display at the mall for judging and voting July 30-31. The public can vote for its favorite picture for 50 cents per vote, with proceeds benefiting the Children's Miracle Network at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center. Entry fee is $35. AACC golf tournament
The fourth annual Anne Arundel Community College Foundation Golf Tournament will be held Monday, June 21, at Crofton Country Club. Proceeds will benefit student scholarships and special academic programs. The tournament, sponsored by Acme Bar & Grill, features an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start, putting contest, prizes and raffles. The Annapolis Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer Post 199 is accepting applications. Law Enforcement Exploring is a work site-based program for young men and women who have completed eighth grade and are between 14 and 20 years old. The program offers information on a variety of programs that offer hands-on career activities.

AACC closes field, track
Anne Arundel Community College has closed Siegert Field and the running track for the summer for renovations. Both will reopen in the fall in time for classes. Area residents are encouraged to walk the perimeter of the campus parking lots or take the hiking trails behind parking lots A and B, between parking lot H and College Parkway, and between the east and west sides of campus. Learn to row
The Annapolis Rowing Club is accepting registration for classes. The club offers courses in sweep rowing in eight-person shells with coxswains. There are six sessions, each consisting of four two-hour lessons from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturdays and Sundays on two consecutive weekends. Classes are geared to those with no rowing experience and are limited to 16 people. Participants must be 14 or older. Cost is $190. Sessions continue on weekends through July 17-18. The Anne Arundel County Historical Society has opened the historic Benson-Hammond House and North Browse and Buy Shoppe at Aviation Boulevard and Andover Road in Linthicum for the season.
