Opening of rain gardens The Shady Side Rural Heritage Society holds the grand opening of its bio-retention project from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. June 13 at the Captain Salem Avery Museum, 1418 E.W. Sachs Memorial Summer Jazz Series The Brooks Tegler Band will perform a tribute to legendary drummer Gene Krupa at 6 p.m. June 23 on the front lawn at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts.
