Jeans with $10,000 of drugs thrown out, two charged, police say

An Annapolis man and woman were charged with possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine after police say one of the suspects threw a pair of blue jeans containing the drugs from a bedroom window during a search.

Police executed a search and seizure warrant at the residence of Shaneice Crowdy, 21, of the 1100 block of Medgar Evers St. about 5 a.m. Friday morning. While at the house, police say Tavon Antonio Saunders, 22, of the unit block of Peale Court threw a pair of jeans out a bedroom window containing 108 grams of crack with a street value of more than $10,000 found inside the rear pocket. Saunders' identification was found inside the pants, police said.

Police later recovered about 57 grams of crack and 86 grams of marijuana, for a combined street value of about $8,000, according to a department spokesman.
