Memoir writing Course will be held from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Arnold Senior Activity Center, 44 Church Road. Class will teach participants how to write their autobiography through various methods. Winter classes Registration continues for classes that start on Jan. 11 at the Arnold Senior Center. Registration ends after the class meets for two weeks. There is a $40 fee for all students. Students older than 60 do not pay a fee. Students younger than 60 pay a $40 per class fee.

Computer repair Class teaching simple computer repairs and upgrades will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Arnold Senior Activity Center. There is a $20 fee to cover a flash drive and publication to take home.
Volunteer grandparents sought The Foster Grandparents Program of the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities is seeking volunteer grandparents to help mentor children with special needs. Volunteers serve between 15 and 40 hours a week, providing mentoring, tutoring, advice and attention, and teaching life skills to children in special education classes, a homeless shelter, a family support center and other agencies. Activities may include reading stories, listening, helping them feed themselves, setting the table, working with puzzles and helping the children learn colors, numbers and the alphabet.
Volunteers must be income-eligible and at least 60 years old. Benefits include a tax-free stipend, paid training, vacation, sick leave, free transportation, lunch and a physical exam. Information: 410-222-4464.
