A teenager told Anne Arundel County police that he was shot Wednesday night on the steps of a Pasadena home by a stranger.

The 19-year-old said he was sitting on the steps of a home in the 800 block of Levy Court about 10 p.m. when a man with a handgun approached, shot him and ran away, police said.

The victim had wounds to an arm and leg, according to police. He was taken by the county Fire Department to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center, police said.
