A Millersville man is in critical but stable condition after being shot in an early Tuesday morning incident in Glen Burnie that police said is believed to be drug related.

Anne Arundel County Police said that at approximately 1:04 a.m. officers responding to reports of a shooting on the 400 block of Secret Bend in Glen Burnie spoke with a 21-year-old Millersville man who indicated he had been shot while in the passenger's side of a vehicle at a Sunoco gas station.

Police said an investigation revealed the vehicle was exiting the gas station lot when another vehicle pulled alongside. A man from the second vehicle emerged from the driver's side and shot twice into the first vehicle, striking the victim once in the abdomen. Police said the suspect re-entered into his vehicle and fled the scene.

Police do not know in which direction the suspect fled and said officers canvassing the area were unable to locate the suspect or the vehicle.
