Flight makes emergency landing at BWI

A flight from Atlanta to Providence was forced to make an emergency landing at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport Friday night for mechanical trouble.

Delta flight 772 safely made the emergency landing around 10:30 p.m. and no one was injured, BWI spokesman Jonathan Dean said. The plane was temporarily disabled on the runway for a period and an unknown number of flights were delayed as a result, Dean said. Emergency personnel responded and ultimately towed the plane off the runway and to a gate.
