A man tried to break into an Odenton bar early Saturday while the employees there were still working, Anne Arundel County police said.

About 2:30 a.m. Saturday, an employee told police that a man tried to enter Buck Murphy's Bar & Grill in the 300 block of Telegraph Road through a window. When the suspect discovered the bar was occupied, he fled on foot, police said.

Police searched the area, but did not find the suspect. An employee at Buck Murphy's confirmed the break-in and directed questions to a manager who could not be reached Sunday afternoon.

Police described the suspect as a white man with thick eyebrows and short brown hair about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 160 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and white-and-black tennis shoes, police said.
