Another opportunity for a 'Wonderful Life' with Pasadena Theatre

A favorite holiday tradition is in its 10th fully staged revival on the local stage: Pasadena Theatre Company's annual production of "It's a Wonderful Life."

The show lovingly interprets Frank Capra's 1946 film starring James Stewart, which has been named by the American Film Institute as one of the best films ever.

The Pasadena production has drawn capacity audiences at Anne Arundel Community College's humanities recital hall during performances this week, with remaining performances on Friday, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 6 at 3 p.m. On opening night, the cast — which includes several families performing together — delivered a heartfelt performance.

There's one more chance to see the show: an encore performance is scheduled for 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at the North County High School auditorium. The performance is presented in partnership with the Performing Arts Association of Linthicum.

Tickets will be available at the door for $20; $30 will buy tickets to the three remaining shows in the association's mini-season: "It's a Wonderful Life"; Live Arts Maryland's "Fiddler on the Roof" on Feb. 15; and a concert, "Tribute to Charlie and Joe Byrd" on April 25. Mini-season tickets also can be ordered online at paalconcerts.org.
