A Bowie man died after his car slammed into the back of a truck in Crofton early Friday morning, Anne Arundel County police said.
Police identified the 44-year-old victim as David T. Dunmoye of Nestor Court. He was driving a 2005 Toyota Corolla south on Crain Highway when it struck the rear of a construction truck slowing to turn at Defense Highway, police said
Dunmoye was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was not injured. Police said the truck is owned by Reliable Contracting Co. Inc. in Millersville.
Police said speed appears to have been a factor in the crash.
The traffic safety unit is investigating the crash.
