A second teenager pleaded guilty to second-degree murder Wednesday in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court in the fatal stabbing of a pizza deliveryman.
Prosecutors said Tavon Brown stabbed Ghulam Farooq, of Woodlawn, when the 46-year-old came to Meade Village in Severn Dec. 18 with a pizza Brown and a cousin ordered. Prosecutors said Brown and the cousin, Darrius Lynne Bullock, had planned to rob Farooq when he arrived.
State guidelines call for a sentence of up to 30 years in prison for Brown, who is scheduled to be sentenced in November. Bullock is scheduled to be sentenced Thursday.
Prosecutors said a lie detector test showed Bullock was telling the truth when he said he saw his cousin pull a knife on Farooq after the cousins beat and robbed the deliveryman. In addition, Brown implicated himself during taped conversations in the county jail, according to prosecutors.
