Jamboree
Grace Baptist Church of Sunset Beach holds a jamboree at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at 17 Somerset Road in Pasadena. Among the events planned are a talent show, a chili contest and a cookie bake-off. Free admission. Information: 410-255-5616.
Fall Festival
The Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer will hold its annual Fall Festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the church, 7606 Quarterfield Road in Glen Burnie. There will be a bake sale, flea market, an afghan raffle and food. Flea market spaces are $10. To reserve a space, call Arlyce Lohr at 410-674-4118. Proceeds will go toward projects at the church. New pastor
The Rev. James Bishop Sr. has been appointed to Asbury Town Neck United Methodist Church, 429 Asbury Drive in Severna Park. For the past eight years he has served as pastor of Goshen United Methodist Church in Gaithersburg. Worship services are at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. Sundays. All are welcome.
