AACC gala Anne Arundel Community College will hold a gala Oct. 13 at the Westin Baltimore Washington Airport-BWI, 1110 Old Elkridge Landing Road in Linthicum. The "2012 Gala — Welcome to our Future" event will be an evening of dinner and dancing and will offer attendees a chance to meet AACC's sixth president, Dawn Lindsay. Festival The annual West River Heritage Day Oyster Festival will be held from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 21 at the Captain Avery Museum, 1418 EW Shady Side Road.
