Breakfast meeting Anne Arundel County's Department of Aging and Disabilities and Maryland Access Point will host a breakfast from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., 2664 Riva Road, Annapolis. Music festival The Silopanna Music Festival, featuring performances by Eric Hutchinson, the Flaming Lips, Dashboard Confessional, Matt & Kim, Sleeper Agent, Hellogoodbye, Chappo, Twin Forks, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, Pasadena, Sweet Leda, Higher Hands and others will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, 1450 Generals Highway in Crownsville. Wine festival The third annual Kegs and Corks Beer and Wine Festival will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds, 1450 Generals Highway in Crownsville. Tickets include a souvenir cup, limited samples of beer and wine, and entertainment all day. Food will be available for purchase. Musical entertainment includes performances by Uncle Jack, the Roadhouse Clams and Tom Larson. Proceeds benefit the Chesapeake Bay Trust, which funds educational programs in schools to teach children about the environment and ground restoration work.
