Memorial Day The Annapolis Memorial Day Parade begins at 10 a.m., starting at Amos Garrett Boulevard and traveling down West Street, around Church Circle, down Main Street and ending at the Market House at City Dock. After the parade, a ceremony at Susan Campbell Park features state Sen. John C. Astle as speaker.

Youth concerts The Chesapeake Youth Symphony Orchestra will perform at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at the Annapolis Area Christian School Upper Campus, 109 Burns Crossing Road in Severn. The afternoon concert features the Concert Orchestra, Prep Strings, Strings Orchestra and Junior Flute Ensemble. The evening concert features the Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, Senior Flute Ensemble and Jazz Ensemble. Both concerts are free and open to the public; donations accepted. Fundraiser St. Margaret's Episcopal Church will host a concert, dessert reception and art auction at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at 1601 Pleasant Plains Road in Annapolis. Among the musical performers are sopranos Maria Dolan and Tamara Fingel; baritones Adrian Lewis, Bobb Robinson and Robert Tudor; pianists Jiayin Shen and Michael Lundien; cellists Deborah Brudvig and Martha Vance, and guitarist Jonathan Stone. Chamber ensemble The Mana Saxophone Quartet will perform "Forest Music" at 5 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Adkins Arboretum, 12610 Eveland Road near Tuckahoe State Park in Ridgely. Positioning themselves in the arboretum's forest within hearing distance though not necessarily within sight of each other, the musicians will respond to each other's playing in a musical conversation that winds through the trees. Afterward, they will give a brief concert in the Visitors Center. The program is free, but registration is required and seating is limited. Meeting The Anne Arundel Genealogical Society presents "The Barns of Southern Maryland" by J. Carlton Sharp at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 5, at Severna Park United Methodist Church, 731 Benfield Road.
