Christmas caroling

Adkins Arboretum will hold its "Candlelit Caroling Celebration" from 6 p.m to 9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at 12610 Eveland Road in Ridgely. Visitors are invited to sing carols while walking along candle lit woodland paths, sip cider by a bonfire and uncover the mysteries of the winter sky with help from the Delmarva Stargazers. Event also include hayrides, hot chocolate, cookies, tree decorating at the children's Funshine Garden and live music by Driven Women, Bells of Praise and Dovetail. Fruit sale

The Severn River Lions Club is selling Florida citrus fruit as part of its annual fundraising to benefit several community groups. Orders should be placed by Saturday, Dec. 14, for delivery between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Dec. 21 at Severna Park High School, 60 Robinson Road. Fruit remaining after 1 p.m. will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Available for sale: red seedless grapefruit: $20 (2/5 bushel), $34 (4/5 bushel); navel oranges: $20 (2/5 bushel), $34 (4/5 bushel); mix of oranges and grapefruit: $21 (2/5 bushel).

Free parking

Two hours of free parking are available to Annapolis shoppers at all two-hour metered parking spots through Wednesday, Jan. 1. Spaces on Main Street, Francis Street, West Street, Maryland Avenue, Prince George Street, City Dock and Market Space, as well as the Donner lot adjacent to the former Fawcett's on Compromise Street, are available. Motorists are not allowed to leave their cars in one spot all day.

Toys for Tots

The Anne Arundel Community College Department of Public Safety is a drop-off site for the Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots collection program through Wednesday, Dec. 18. Take new, unwrapped toys from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. to the Central Services Building on the Arnold campus, 101 College Parkway. Toys may also be dropped off from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. at the security desks in the front lobbies of the college's facilities at Glen Burnie Town Center, 101 Crain Highway N., and Arundel Mills, 7009 Arundel Mills Circle in Hanover. Baysox ticket packages

The Bowie Baysox are offering two ticket packages for the holidays. Each includes a Chris Tillman bobblehead and eight undated tickets for the Baysox's 2014 season. The "Baysox Holiday Gift Pack" is $99.95 plus a $7.95 shipping and handling fee, and includes a baseball cap. "Home For The Holidays" package is $88 plus the same shipping and handling.
