The Orchard Beach Volunteer Fire Company recently accepted a grant of $6,400 from Exelon Energy Company to help purchase a new thermal imaging camera for the station.
The cameras use infrared technology to see through smoke and darkness to assist firefighters in finding victims, pinpoint fires and recognize structural dangers.
