A 50-year-old man has been found guilty of second-degree murder in the 2012 shooting death of a Glen Burnie man.
Victor Harper was found guilty Thursday in Anne Arundel County Circuit Court of fatally shooting Ray Collignon during a confrontation at a Glen Burnie home, according to the county State's Attorney Office.
According to a release from the State's Attorney's Office, Collignon had moved out of the Glen Burnie house but in 2011 returned to reside temporarily in the garage. Harper also moved into the house, then moved out.
Prosecutors said Harper came to the residence unannounced six weeks after moving out. When asked by Collignon to leave, Harper pulled out a handgun and shot Collignon in the head, according to the State's Attorney Office.
After the jury verdict, Judge Laura Kiessling revoked Harper's bond. Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 13 in Anne Arundel Circuit Court.
