To start off the festivities, show organizers are teaming up with the Downtown Annapolis Partnership to host a block party open to the public Thursday at Market Space. The event, which starts at 5:30 p.m., will feature a live band along with food and drinks for sale.

From inflatables and dinghies to pontoon boats and yachts, hundreds of boats will available for viewing on temporary docks that crisscross the harbor. More than 300 exhibitors will offer their wares. There will be tents set up showing off boating accessories and others offering nautical educational courses like Cruisers University and Junior Captain Program. The Annapolis School of Seamanship and Chesapeake Bay Magazine also will present free daily seminars.

Renowned superyacht captain Sandy Yawn from the Bravo TV show “Below Deck Mediterranean” will make an appearance on all four days at the Maui Jim and Shades of the Bay booth.

U.S. Boatshow President Mary Eweson praised her team’s effort in pulling off the event and acknowledged the struggles that organizers have undergone since the onset of the pandemic more than two years ago.

“There have been supply chain issues over the past couple of years and obviously the weather hasn’t helped but still, we have a wide range of vendors coming out and expect over 500 boats to be on display,” Ewenson said.
