Annapolis police have determined the death of a 36-year-old man whose body was found in Annapolis Tuesday morning was not suspicious, a department spokesperson said.
Annapolis Fire Department personnel were returning from a call around 6:30 a.m. when they noticed someone lying on the ground in the small park near Chinquapin Road and Aris T. Allen Boulevard, said Capt. Bud Zapata, a fire department spokesperson.
“They arrived and confirmed that no life emergency measures could be administered,” Zapata said.
Annapolis police were called to the scene and determined the man’s death was not suspicious, said Patti Smith, police spokesperson.
The incident will be reported as an unattended death, and his name will not be released, which is standard procedure. The next of kin have been notified, and an autopsy will be done to determine the cause of death, Smith said.
