The boys and girls high school lacrosse playoff schedule was finalized on Monday. Section quarterfinals will begin on Wednesday. All games are played at the home site of the higher seeded team on the bracket. In the event of inclement weather, the rain dates will be the very next day (except Sunday).
The 16 region champions will continue on to compete in the state semifinals on Friday, 5/17 and Saturday, 5/18. The precise game schedule will be determined following the completion of the region championship games, but more than likely two games will be played each day. Four sites will host both boys and girls games in each classification as follows: Class 4A will be played at Gaithersburg High School, 3A will be played at Mount Hebron High School, 2A will be played at Northeast High School, and Havre de Grace will host the 1A games.
A trip to Paint Branch High School in Burtonsville and the state finals on Monday, 5/20 through Wednesday, 5/22 awaits the victors of the state semifinal games. Boys and girls games will be scheduled in combination with one another as three games will be played on the first two days at 4 p.m., 6 p.m., and 8 p.m. and just 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. the final day.
