Haley Downin dropped 23 points and snagged six steals, while Summer Smith dished out 17 assists and grabbed 11 rebounds and six steals to lead Chesapeake to a 58-48 victory over Atholton on Wednesday.

Ashley Chew scored 17 points, Morgan Gray blocked eight shots, scored eight points and pulled down eight rebounds and Corrine Castle added nine points and nine rebounds for Chesapeake (5-0).


OLD MILL 68, LONG REACH 52: Sydney Faulcon scored 16 points to lead the Patriots past the Lightning. Deja Atkinson recorded 12 points and Mikaya Mallett added 11 points for Old Mill (2-1)

CENTENNIAL 50, BROADNECK 32: Ty Washington scored 10 points and Devon McCue scored nine points, but the Bruins fell to the Eagles. Nicole Hagopian scored eight points for Broadneck (1-4).

RIVER HILL 54, SOUTHERN 26: Justice Washburn had nine points and Erin Gulden added seven points, but the Bulldogs (1-4) were defeated by the Hawks.

ARUNDEL 60, GLENELG 38: Heather Middleton notched 13 points, seven rebounds and two steals and Nikki Seven added nine points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals to help the Wildcats defeat the Gladiators. Savannah Brooks had seven points, four rebounds and two steals and Brandy Middleton had six points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal for Arundel (4-2).

HOWARD 60, MEADE 45: Destiny Jackson scored 16 points and Jaela Reid added nine points, but the Lions downed the Mustangs (2-3).

MT. HEBRON 57, NORTH COUNTY 35: Jada Turner scored nine points while Alicia Ennals added eight points, eight rebounds and two blocks, but the Knights (1-3) were beaten by the Vikings.

MARRIOTTS RIDGE 58, GLEN BURNIE 30: Jordan Fangman scored 11 points and Jahye Brown had six points, but the Gophers (0-5) were defeated by the Mustangs.

ANNAPOLIS 33, WILDE LAKE 31: Kayla Henson recorded eight points, 11 rebounds and a steal while Angel Colbert had seven points as the Panthers edged the Wildecats for their first win of the season. D’Asia Jones had seven points, four rebounds, an assist and a steal and Elizabeth Gilman had eight rebounds for Annapolis (1-3).

HAMMOND 84, NORTHEAST 42: The Eagles dropped to 4-1 on the season.


ANNAPOLIS FALLS TO CHESAPEAKE, SEVERNA PARK: Tate Scott recorded two pins while Nate Ditmars, Jalen Lamkin and Kyle Leming each had pins but the Panthers (1-5) fell to the Cougars (11-3) 53-23 and the Falcons (4-2) 38-33 on Tuesday.
